Keep units explicit
Identify whether each drawing uses inches or millimeters. One inch equals 25.4 mm; a nominal retail fixture size may not equal its finished exterior size. Check equipment interfaces against the selected manufacturer’s documents.
Coordinate local responsibilities
Agree the import, transport, unloading and installation responsibilities. Product-specific evidence and site requirements should be reviewed with the parties responsible for the project.

Before approving drawings
Have the responsible site contact verify the dimensions and interfaces. Translate site changes into the fixture record instead of relying on an unmarked photograph.
Before receiving the shipment
Confirm the recipient, unloading method and installation documents. Share package data with the team that will physically move and assemble the fixtures.
