Record the required finished run and the selected manufacturer’s connection details. The nominal bay size, upright arrangement, base depth, end panels and accessories all affect the complete assembly. Do not assume an add-on can operate as a separate freestanding unit.
Compare complete runs with the same usable shelf space and accessories. Count the required uprights, bases, shelves, ends and fixing components before comparing prices.

Buying an add-on as a freestanding island. Keep the selected reference, actual dimensions and the configuration evidence together so a visual preference does not replace a working specification.
Give each supplier the same reference list, quantities, construction, finish and destination. Ask for differences and exclusions to be marked against that schedule.
Release the agreed revision after the responsible parties have reviewed the site inputs, equipment interfaces, materials and order scope. Record the effect of later changes before continuing.

Coordinate equipment separatelyConfirm service openings, loads and connection details for the selected assembly.
Count shared uprights before ordering adjoining bays. A starter contains the components needed to stand as the first bay; an extension depends on the selected system. End panels, end-cap fixtures and top signage must be counted separately.
